I'd say this is pretty straight forward, a xian's idea that jebus is the ONLY person to have been born of a virgin birth, called the "Son of God" and resurrected 3 days after their death is totally wrong and predates xianity for 3000 years. However, about an hour after I put that on my status, I get this reply from my friend that I've mentioned in my blog before:

Hmm...let's examine that paragraph for a second. Jebus isn't imaginary...oh, the evidence to this sounds a staggering HELL YES that he's imaginary as the ONLY place he's mentioned in the buybull. The second sentence is just as laughable as the first. Why does that always sound so creepy, that they "felt" him...some dude plays with me anywhere and I'll punch them square in the face! Ok, I'll give it to him about the lying part...though...he has lied to me in the past >_> One day to feel his love and in due time...about the ONLY thing I want to feel of him is the thought that I was responsible for getting one more person to understand the lies and bullshit of religion and to see what religion is used for, and that's simply mind control. Provo Temple Burns Down

So a few days ago this was all over the news here in Utah. My first thought "yeah, their chauvinistic asshole sky pixy cares about them soooo much....he couldn't even save one of 'his' buildings from burning" followed by some laughing. Seriously, if their god was really all that powerful, he could've prevented this from ever happening. Instead they now have a huge mess that cost tax payer money to stop the fire and then to clean up. Yeah...how about they start paying their fair share of taxes to pay for this...that or do it all themselves and pay back all the public services they've already used.
They've had multiple buildings burn down, either from arson or some form of shitty construction, and they insist that they're gods chosen people. If that's the case...why aren't they the majority religion for the entire planet...instead they're one of the smallest xian denominations that exists. Oh yeah...they're the chosen people alright...its as bad as jehovah witness' and them claiming that only 144k people on this planet, either now or previously existed. It's all a load of shit.
Personally, I'm glad that it burned down. It's yet another reason that the sky tyrant doesn't exist and doesn't look out for his special kids on some random pale blue dot floating about lonesomely in the cosmos.

We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
This is something that shows they believe in a literal history of the buybull and that joe smith interjected it into the book of moron. The "ten tribes" of Israel are the 10 sons of Jacob and that 8 of them have magically disappeared from view of our plane of existence. Of course, this technicality is that the 2 tribes who still exist are both the sons of one of the original sons who was Joseph, so really there are 9 lost tribes.
The ten tribes thing is a complete load of bullshit...just like the buybull. If you look at any historical archive or narrative these people are not mentioned ANYWHERE in them. Which is odd at best considering if you read the buybull they're supposed to be bigger than Elvis and the Beatles combined...which really isn't possible but for sake of an argument lets say they are. If that was the case, then somewhere in reality history at least one of these brothers should be mentioned as well as documented all the land and wives and mistresses and slaves they had. But, just like the jebus myth, it's all a lot of bullshit with literally NO historical backing.

However, this Zion is supposed to be located in the "Garden of Eden" according to the book of moron and NOT the buybull. Now, anyone who can logically look at human recorded history and the work done by the human genome project can see that the cradle of life started in mid to lower Africa and expanded outwards from there. I still challenge any and all religutards who have the guts to show me one verifiable piece of history outside the buybull and any related fanfiction that jebus existed. Then I will listen to you intently...however...since I know that's not possible as there are no historical records of jebus that's really a waste of time...as is all religion.

What a piece of shit...not only does this say that either my friend who sent it or whoever wrote it knows absolutely NOTHING on the history of the celebration surrounding December 25th. The fact that this little poem starts off about xians and that the reason of xmas was being taken away...uhh...yeah...only xians are spouting this bullshit. If they had an inkling that xmas is nothing but a stolen and bastardized holiday, they might actually shut their traps...of course, then they'd go after easter and spread bullshit that it's all about jebus when it's a celebration of the rebirth of life as old as the human race that they also stole for the jebus myth.
Lastly, I will leave anyone who might happen upon and read my blog with this: Do take the time to learn about the actual history of major xian (and moslem and jewish for that matter) holidays to know what they truly stemmed from and that the holiday they celebrate today is NOTHING of what the actual holiday is. If possible, let people know that there is a larger history behind all these holidays and show them how to locate and read this information for themselves...granted, you will have to hold their hand and spoon feed them at first, but start the process and watch as they become truly enlightened and not enslaved to the fascism of religion.

Articles of faith...or stupidity part 9
We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God
This just goes into the whole delusion thing again.
To begin, NOTHING that "god" has ever revealed has been anything amazing...or truthful as a matter of fact. I'd like the MORmONS to say what god has revealed without using either the buybull or the book of moron to justify the fact. At that point it's just the random ass ramblings of their prophets...most of whom are just old guys...so I also call senility and dementia as a factor contributing to the ramblings.
Now, they may have a FEW things that are good...but compared to the bigotry and racism and misogynism that goes on...no, the good does NOT outweigh the bad. You might as well hand someone an apple and tell them it's a blueberry.
As far as the revealing of things to come...sure...I can do the same thing...someone light me up a bowl I'm gonna blaze me a revelation!! But, seriously, the old guys are just gonna lock themselves in one of their symbol laden rooms and make some shit up and then say they have some major declaration. If they want people to take mormonism seriously (yeah right), maybe if they could actually prove the shit in the book of moron. The sad part, I've heard some moron apologists already say that study is flawed...which I don't see how it can be given that it followed VERY well established methods for looking at archaeological evidence.

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
There's a VERY simple way to explain this. *clears throat*
"The buybull is wrong so I'm gonna write my own version that is right, and anyone who disagrees speaks against god"
That literally sums up ANY religion though but in this case HEAVILY applies to the religutarded mormons. Of course, if any mormon had truly read both their book and the king james buybull (that's the one they ripped off) you can see several similarities. It's one of the most obvious works of plagiarism I've ever seen. And the ironic part is how they went after someone for forging mormon documents (I might talk about that later).
Now, if any reader of my blog hasn't had the great hilarious chance to read the book of mormon, I would highly suggest doing so. Then you'll understand why mormons are nothing more than racist, bigoted assholes who believe in another world called "kolob" where they will all go to become gods/goddesses them selves and essentially fuck each other all day making more "spiritual" children. It's quite a hilarious read and you can always, ALWAYS tell when a mormon has not truly read it...if they did, they'd know it's all a bunch of bullshit with only ONE religion more ridiculous than it:
Scientology.
Yes, I am comparing mormons to scientologists as they both have the most hilarious dogma and myths. And honestly...I can't say which one is the more hilarious. Though, I would admit that scientologists are less racist bigoted assholes...I mean...they don't believe that native americans are the decendants of lehi who was an asshole and that africans are from the seed of cain who killed able (which is another story wrong with the buybull...two people bare ONLY 2 males, how in the fucking hell did they have more kids? fuck eve? or did they actually find lillith? and bonus points to anyone who still believes in religion and knows who lillith is)

We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
Ya know...I just call this being fucking crazy!
Let's think about this for a minute...if you were to walk up to or someone walked up to you and started babbling in random languages, and you know for a fact this person could only speak the same language as you, there should be only ONE thought going through your head "What...the fuck...is wrong with him/her?" Speaking in "tongues" as they put it is just a religious way to justify either stupidity or insanity....probably both.
As far as prophecy, revelations, visions and such...I have them to, however, I know when I'm in a dream...be it a night time dream or daydreaming. Anyone who has had such a vision, I would challenge them to tell me a few things...such as what they were doing when this occurred, what were they thinking of, was it at night when most people are asleep. If they could answer these and a few more and prove without ANY doubt that they were not tired, delusional, high, or were recently hit in the head...then I'll ask them to tell me what's going to happen...if it happens, I'll consider it but it MUST happen a MINIMUM of 3 times otherwise I WILL dismiss it as a simple little case of dejavu and that they imagined it.
interpretation of tongues...well...first off if the person is SPEAKING in the tongues we already know they're fucking psychotic. Now...for a person to say they understand the random babbling...that person is even more insane than the idiot who's doing the babbling...it's like watching a VERY bad Abbot and Costello skit. Sadly, people still think that this is an amazing god given skill...honestly...if someone speaks to me in just one other language, I'll learn that language and speak to them. But if that person is speaking several at the same time, you better bet your ass that I'll be calling the men in white.
Healing...well fuck, that's simple, go see a fucking doctor! >_< With the semi-recent news of faith-based healing deaths...it's obvious that wishing (as that's all a prayer is at the simplest level) for someone to get well isn't effective at all. Hell, when I was in the hospital back in August, people wished me well...did I get better any faster...nope, I still can't walk on my left leg...I even think some people in my neighborhood prayed for me to get better...without asking me either...bastards =_=

We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church
Sadly they do...what makes it sad is that they even believe that if you DON'T believe in this the exact same way as you, you've got a one way trip to outer darkness.
The thing that's also reallllly scary about this, is that they teach you NOT to challenge what you are taught, who teaches you, otherwise you'd be committing the equivalent to heresy. >_> umm...what? how in the fuck is that the same? That's just like the usual contrite argument that the religutards say that allowing same sex marriage will lead to legalized paedophilia as well.
Besides, the ONLY place that these people get their authority to do what they do is from the sky tyrant. So, how does this make it authentic that you have authority here on Earth...oh...wait...it doesn't because the burden of truth lies with them and they can't produce any sort of logical argument as to the existence of their blood thirsty asshole sky tyrant.
Now, the other thing that they'd have to do as the primitive church did, was be in hiding...cause around 1CE xians were considered scum by the romans (and I wouldn't doubt the greeks too) and weren't looked upon in a positive light. Articles of faith...or stupidity part 5
We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
This just furthers the premise that those who believe in god are indeed fucking crazy! To say that your ONLY authority to preach comes from the sky tyrant...then where does your authority truly come from? The simple answer is, you have no authority.
The other thing that just seems creepy...they do this whole laying on of hands thing...which is a bunch of old farts standing around whoever the person is and putting their hands on their head and saying some prayer to jebus and god. The thing is, they do this to not only adults, but kids too. Kinda makes you wonder what's up with that...
But, the thing that's really messed up is how they believe that god gives them all this authority...sure...the authority to demonize atheists...to tell people who are gay that they will burn in hell...to forcibly convert anyone who ISN'T mormon...to tell those same people that they're wrong in their beliefs...to say they have the ONLY true history of jebus...to say that they have the only true history of history itself...yeah...that's some seriuosly fucked up authority if you ask me.

I would support them
So as is evident at the top of my blog of companies that any self-respecting non-theist would never want to shop as it only contributes to religion, I have one that I'd have to add for places that I WOULD shop as they oppose the stupid shit religutards do.
Who is the company you ask? Why, it's none other than IHOP, the International House of Pancakes.
Now, you may wonder why I would be willing to shop at IHOP because of them opposing something religutards did. Articles of faith...or stupidity part 4
We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Hoo boy...this is a fun one!
The first "principle" to have faith in jebus...hmm...I should have faith in someone that never came to promote peace...but to act like a 5yo child who is there nothing more than to say "you're all bad" among other things. This "faith" they promote is disturbing at best. Sadly, the religutarded still believe the jebus myth to this day and still have faith in it as is exemplified above.
The second "principle" of repentance...oh...my...fucking...hell. Repentance is nothing more than a xians attempt to de-villify sins. This is all repentance is at the basest of levels...an escape from sin...which is stupid as they believe jebus saves you from your sins... This is a VERY redundant system as jebus saves you from ANY sins you did...but then repentance is for you to be forgiven by jebus and the sky tyrant. This probably explains why I've seen so many people who claim to be mormon at bars and smoking and even talking about randomly fucking someone.
The third "principle" baptism to help get rid of sins. OMG!!!! They keep repeating...wait...where I have heard that before... O_O OH YEAH!!! The ten fucking commandments...namely the first 4 which basically serve for the sky tyrant to say "WORSHIP ME YOU DISGUSTING BASTARDS". Also...being dunked in water so that you can be forgiven for sins...that's like playing hide and seek and hiding behind a chain link fence. There's absolutely NO point to it. What makes this worse is that mormons also do this for dead people...who asked them...honestly if I was dead I could come back and make TOTAL hell for them for doing that to me.
The fourth "principle" to received the holy ghost. This is simply their rationalization for intuition...where you can tell if something feels wrong or right. They just call it the "still small voice"...I call them fucking crazy! 3) We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
This is laughable at best. To think that jebus will save all mankind is honestly a sickening ideal. Why is it sickening? To think that something like 11 million people believe this and want everyone else to think the same. Yeah, just another example of the standard religious brainwashing bullshit.
now...the really unnerving part "obedience" which means believe what we tell you and don't you DARE think anything elsewise or you WILL be going to outer darkness (as mormons don't believe in hell like xians do). Yeah, that's something that the leaders of mormons push a LOT. That you must do what we say not what anyone else does and definitely do NOT think for yourself.
They're scared cause they know that if people actually thought for themselves that they would tell them all to fuck right off and go stick a hot iron rod up their ass. The people who lead any religion know full well that their followers are en masse too stupid to actually take the time to read what the religion is founded on. If they did, they would realize that there's only ONE religion out there that makes less sense than mormonism and that's scientology. Yes, scientologists are slightly crazier than mormons but not by much...at least scientologists didn't buy out an absolutely disgusting law like Prop 8 in California.
Personally, I will be ecstatic when the religious majority realizes that it's absurd to hold onto something as horrendous as religion and it's dogma and realizes that they don't need an invisible sky tyrant (who should also shove a red hot iron up his ass).
On a random and slightly related note. I started working with someone locally to start a computer repair business. On our way to grab some food while working on a machine someone drove by and the person commented that it's the local mormon bishop. I didn't really say much to that as I don't believe religion should be a part of any workplace (and no, a church isn't a workplace just a place to molest minds and kids). He said his wife goes but that he doesn't care for it, he has better things to think about and focus on.

We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
While this doesn't mean that you baptize babies at birth a la catholicism, they still do a baptism in order to received jebus' blessings. You do this when you're 8...they explain to you what's going on...but come on, you're 8 fucking years old. No fucking 8 year old can understand the bullshit of baptism or see that they're being brainwashed into a cult.
One thing that does set mormons apart from other xians regarding sin is that they don't believe in original sin. All this means is that because sky daddy told adam not to eat the apple and he did, we're not punished for it...however, any other sin is still as reprehensible...so they only take one out of the equation.
Something this leads into is baptisms for the dead...this is something I will address at a later time and discuss it's absurdity.
As far as the sins go, if you stay a believing mormon, this means that white jebus (cause he wasn't white, I'm sorry, but the dude is from the middle east, that bitch was brown) will absolve you of ALL your sins when you die as long as you repent in front of their triune god (monotheistic my ass)...now how's that for a loophole? It beats the fuck out of plenary indulgence from catholicism.

Prop 8 deemed unconstitutional...so my dad has to be an ass
While the title does say a lot, I'm going to elaborate.
the front page of a local newspaper called the Deseret News had 2 articles about the Prop 8 trial and the decision made by Judge Walker that it is unconstitutional. "A PRIVATE MORAL VIEW THAT SAME-SEX COUPLES ARE INFERIOR TO OPPOSITE-SEX COUPLES IS NOT A PROPER BASIS FOR LEGISLATION" That is taken from a scan of the decision papers done by Judge Walker.
So, this is pretty clear cut, religion is wrong for trying to force this point of view on the whole of California. Besides, it's also public knowledge that half of the funds used to push Prop 8 were given by the mormon members who were told (not urged, TOLD) to give money to get it pushed through.
So, as I'm sitting, eating dinner and reading those articles, my dad just blatantly says "they're wrong to push this because the voters already voted on this". Well...clearly someone didn't actually read the decision.
So I point that out and all he can do is be a broken record that they're wrong and the buybull says that being gay is wrong.
At that point I thought to myself "...alright, if he wants to call the buybull into this" I then turned around and said, so, it's ok to take laws from something that advocates both slavery and misogynism?
He says no but I correct him saying that's what he's doing.
All he can retort to that is that we don't believe in the buybull (bullshit, mormons believe in it "as far as it is translated correctly" (something that will be in an upcoming post)) but believe in the book of mormon. This is of course an easy way out to say he's right and I'm wrong...except the book of mormon says the exact same damn thing as the buybull regarding homosexuality, slavery, and misogynism.
I can't resist saying "You mean the book that was written by someone who had a 'vision' where he was visited by people claiming to be Native Americans but had pure white skin...please, do explain that one" He never responded at that point.
It's pretty obvious I know more about the religion than he does...what pisses me off more is that him and some other people in the neighborhood want missionaries to come talk to me. I was willing to at first to see how badly they're brainwashed...but after this, no, I'm gonna say no, I don't want to deal with their bullshit.
I hope I finish up the issue with my left foot (broke the heel bone and sprained the ankle on July 20th) and then get my ass back to school, get a good job and move out. That way I don't have to listen to this drivel every damn day =_=

Since I grew up with mormonism, I am going to continue going on about it. I remembered they have something called the "Articles of Faith". It's a collection of 13 items that they essentially consider law...but it's not. So, just like the last ones I did, I will detail each one and add my commentary afterwards.
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
First and foremost, this is a triune, NOT a monotheist belief. This means that when they make fun of pagans, or taoists, or buddhists, or shinto they're basically being hypocrites. How can I say this? Well, these 3 "individuals" are all "gods" in their own right. That means they believe in 3, yes that's right THREE, gods...now, what is the definition of poly theism? Dictionary.com has it as "the doctrine of or belief in more than one god or in many gods." So already we see that mormons lie about their own religion.
Next, the "eternal father". What a load of shit...mormons believe 2 things about "god". 1) That he lived a life just as we are now as a mortal to get that experience and 2) that he was good enough in that life that when he died he became a god himself and got a wife who he basically fucks like a rabbit to produce all, yes ALL, the people that have ever existed on this planet. Now...unless there's viagra or cialis in heaven...yeah, not buying it. He produces all of these "spiritual kids" on a planet called kolob...which is Earth after it's raised and cleansed.
Now, mormons have their own belief of god as joe smith wrote in the buybull so he could create his own religion. What I detailed above is a rough start on it and that god isn't supposed to be anything like the narcissistic asshole from the buybull...bull shit.
Jebus...right...a carpenter from the Middle East cares more for a group of people who are edged out barely as being the most psychotic on the planet by scientologists. Honestly, IF, and that's a very big IF, jebus existed, he supposedly appeared to joe at one point and appeared white...not sure how he would, but whatever, I can't see why he'd just some kid in the backwoods of the developing US and essentially say "you gotta save everyone before I ass rape them like sodom and gomorrah or like with the flood" (both of which never existed outside the buybull).

Places to Avoid
So if you've noticed I added a section above my posts entitled "Places to Avoid". This is a section where I list businesses who feel it's better to sell you religion either out front or secretly instead of selling you a consumable product.
This list will be ever expanding and I am ALWAYS looking for additions to this. If enough people stop shopping at these places, we can send a message to these companies that selling their religion to their customers is NOT something we want.
So if you have any businesses to add, just reply to this message and let me know of the company, and if they have a website with the obvious references to religion on them.
Also, they are all xians so far, so if anyone comes by and thinks I'm singling out xians, you're dead wrong, that's just all I can find so far.

In NO god we trust
So, if anyone hasn't been able to tell, I post up a LOT of stuff where my dad is involved. On July 4th it was another case.
One of our local papers called the Deseret News (basically the newspaper for Mormons) had a bunch of articles with stuff about the 4th and Independence Day and the like. In part of the newspaper there was an add that had some quotes from the founding fathers as well as the words "In God We Trust" prominently displayed in the middle of the page.
I made the comment that that saying should be removed as it's not inclusive of all Americans. He looked at me unsure of what I meant so I continued on to say that the phrase doesn't include people of a non-theist or a poly-theist view as it references a singular "God".
His response to this? *drumroll* "Well they're wrong"
>_> O_o *facepalm* wtf? At what point did I say ANYTHING about who's right or wrong, just that it's NOT inclusive of all Americans.
I tried to explain again that there are a LARGE number of Americans either believe in no god or multiple gods. I explained in detail that the phrase doesn't include people like Native Americans, Buddhists, Taoists, and even Atheists.
How did he respond this time? *drumrolllllll* "Well they're wrong"

I made the comment that that saying should be removed as it's not inclusive of all Americans. He looked at me unsure of what I meant so I continued on to say that the phrase doesn't include people of a non-theist or a poly-theist view as it references a singular "God".

I tried to explain again that there are a LARGE number of Americans either believe in no god or multiple gods. I explained in detail that the phrase doesn't include people like Native Americans, Buddhists, Taoists, and even Atheists.
How did he respond this time? *drumrolllllll* "Well they're wrong"

I just kept trying to explain how it's not inclusive of all Americans and after the 20 minutes he finally didn't say anything. =_= About damn time if you ask me.
It never ceases to amaze me how he NEVER uses his brain to actually think about things and automatically assumes that it's ALLLLLLL mormonism or nothing.
And just to top it off, earlier today (today being Monday) while I was eating dinner, he says that he wants me to go to church and keep the commandments I agreed to when I was 8. Yeah...what 8 year old in their right mind would understand those things first off. Secondly, as I've mentioned before, I've had doubts since I was a young kid anyways.
I'll be SOOOOO glad when I can get a job again and get to a point that I can move into an apartment. That way I don't have to listen to such absolute drivel such as this.

10 Items to consider Pt. 10
This will be the last of the "10 Items to consider" series I've been doing.
Hear the Lord through His Prophets and the Spirit - The Lord communicates to us through both living prophets and also through the influences of the Holy Ghost. We must listen to both. If we want to know the Lord's will for us today, listen to the Prophets (Review the Conference Ensign).
First and foremost, the "Ensign" is part of a magazine that they put out about church news and what not like that. It usually includes some words from some high ranking person of the church. Honestly, reading each one of those, I can see it's filled with nothing but mind warping brainwashing bullshit!
Secondly, we need to pay attention to the prophet...right...I should believe someone who's more delusional than the rest of the people who believe in the bullshit? Umm...isn't that kind of like the blind leading the blind...well...actually, yes, it is. But, either way, I'd say they all have schizophrenia. I mean, talking to not just one but three, THREE, invisible entities should qualify ANYONE to be diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Third, the "holy ghost". Well...this is an extension of my second item really as it's just another invisible entity that people think actually talk to them. Well, I'll tell you what, back when I was trying to be mormon (when I was like 10-12) if would follow what the church teaches about this nice ghost. http://lds.about.com/od/basicsgospelprinciples/p/holy_ghost.htm Well, that site has all the info one would need to know. Now, about the things it could do:
"Reveals the Truth" Well, if the "holy ghost" EVER revealed the truth to me, it was just the truth of how ridiculous the religion is.
"Cleanses Our Sins" Right...like all those baptisms I did, both for myself and for the dead (which will be another topic). Now, here's something that DEFINITELY separates them from other xians. They don't believe that jebus cleanses you, it's some 3rd entity. But, either way, how can something made up as a 3rd side to god do anything to you at all.
"Gives Comfort and Peace" Comfort...and...peace...or is it really just willful ignorance...I'm betting the latter. Why do I know this? Well, when I was about 10-12 not once did I ever feel comforted or at peace with the things I did from religion...in fact, I felt perfectly fine with the things I did. No, I wasn't doing anything illegal, just things that don't follow the teachings.
Overall, it's just a bunch of stupidity spouted by multiple morons that believe they're talking to 3 people when in fact they're totally delusional. I'll be happy when all the religious crap disappears.

Draw Muhammad Day...

I think Greg makes some rather important points in his post. Mostly "Could you do it legally? Of course. Should you?" The way people have responded (Comedy Central, the website threatening Matt and Trey's life, people participating in the the day and people opposed to it regardless of religious affilation) has been, at best, childish in my opinion. There are MANY ways that the censoring could have been dealt with as well as the ensuing backlash. Now, I believe in respect for all peoples, however, trying to prevent a religious authority figure (who is a pedophile by reading the Quran among other things which are just as horrendous as Jebus) from being mocked in the regard that South Park was doing is rather stupid.
I honestly think that if the episode had aired untouched, there wouldn't have been as many issues occurring as there are now...most of which is just a backlash fueled by emotions. While there were the death threats, that's something that could be easily handled...the backlash that's occurring however is going to take more time to mull over.
This is a comment that I posted to Greg's article (for those that don't want to go looking through all the comments...half of which are rather disgusting in a childish way):
I am an atheist and a humanist, and while I agree that freedom of speech has definitely been tainted in the situation with South Park, I don't agree with the childish way that other atheists and humanists have responded with the Draw Muhammad Day. Now, it's perfectly within their right to do so, but a MUCH more constructive way could have been done.
Also, with the Muslim students drawing on boxing gloves and adding "Ali" after the name is equally childish in that it goes to the level of the original artwork. A much better way of dealing with the drawings could have been found.
Now, I personally (this is just me and nothing to do with atheism or humanism) found the event to be tasteless and as such did not participate in it, mostly because this will be more an incite to retaliation and not necessarily by the "militant" individuals either. I would rather, again personally, see religion...ALL religion be turned into the equivalent of Greek mythology so that the entire human race could just progress forward and not having anything at all that could hold it back, a la religion.
To finish this off...I would hope everyone who's participated in the event today by drawing Muhammad (be it chalk or pencil or pen or any other means) takes one gigantic step back and ask if this is any better than the religion apologists who take childish positions like this on a daily basis...then ask themselves if they are any better for doing so. In the end, freedom of speech shouldn't be censored for any reason, but that's absolutely NO reason to do something stupid in return.

Glenn Beck's tourettes

First you need to watch this video of Lewis Black TOTALLY trashing Glenn.
Now, the reason that I'm including this. For anyone who didn't know, Glenn Beck is a mormon. Yes, he bows down to the horny sky pixie.
Though, I don't get the correlation between calling anything that goes against your beliefs a nazi...but it's just ridiculous.
I wonder how Whiney Beck would respond if someone posted a video trashing him and his nazi tourettes (Lewis Black doesn't count as he's already famous). Would he act like any other mormon pussy and just bitch whine and moan that he's being persecuted? Or would he actually stand up and give some factual information to back up his claims.
My money's on the former as that's the easy route and it doesn't require any critical thinking on Glenn's side...though, if that douche could actually critically think, I'd be totally dumbfounded.

Yeah, same person that I've bitched about before. This time it's something he posted on my mom's wall on Facebook (names have been changed):
"My mom, I know this is kinda late saying, but Happy Birthday! I hope you had lots of fun. :-) I have some good news, Friend's wife and I are going through the Temple this Saturday the 8th and getting sealed the 12th. I have never been so excited like this befor. I know this Church is true and have a testimony.
I wish myself will find his some time soon. i know it will bless his life and he will find true happyness. I wish you and all your Family the best of luck. Any thing I can do for any of you, let me know. You have a good son, and he is a true friend. Never give up on him. Or you. :-)"

I'm reminded of a recent family guy ep (It's season 7 ep 11 if anyone wants to look it up or this link doesn't work http://familyguy.watchfullepisodesonline.com/family_guy_season_7_episode_11_not_all_dogs_go_to_heaven.html ) where Meg turns on Brian for being an atheist. That's almost how this feels he's doing. Depending on how my mom responds determines if I completely bitch him out. Cause it's none of his fucking business to tell my parents about my decisions.
Next, unlike him, I do have true happiness...but it's shit like this that changes that -_- Besides, I don't have to bow down to some invisible sky tyrant with the threat of eternal hell to live happy...unlike him apparently.
Oh, and I should add, I know several people in the neighborhood (as well as my parents) who have told me or I've heard them say a prayer for me to get a job. Let's see...I was let go March 26th and have been applying for jobs that I'm fully qualified for...and here it is May 3rd (for like 15 more minutes) and I haven't even gotten any company to call me back. Yeah, prayer is OBVIOUSLY working for me to get a job here. =_= Damn deluded christards.

That "friend" of mine...again
Lately he's been pissing me off...mostly cause he has to be all "god is true and YOU are wrong"

=_= Ok...this is a no brainer obviously, so to that I responded: Because this country was built upon the basis of equality as it states in the Declaration of Independence "that all men are created equal" and denying anyone for any reason is obviously not equality
No response, but he did start up a chat and asked me about an app about "bible verses your preacher won't tell you" and outright stated it's wrong. I told him that it's a different version of the bible as mormons only believe that the King James version is the truest one (what a laugh, they're all just stories). After that he asked how many versions of the bible I've read, and I've currently read 3, the King James, the American Standard and the Websters Translated Bible. I also included that they contradict each other all the time.
It was that point he asked me what I thought about the book of mormon. I had one word to reply with "fanfiction". He, of course, replied that I was wrong and that the book of mormon is the true word of god.
This is when he started to piss me off. I have yet to tell him one thing about his beliefs and how ridiculous they are. Yet he can tell me that I'm wrong, god's real and the bible and book of mormon are really the words of god. =_=* Stupid fucking christian principles that they can say whatever they want but you can't criticize them at all.
Then today I see him make a post....which I can tell is probably directed at me:

After going in the Temple this morning with my family, I have a better understanding of what our Father in Heaven has and wants for us, His children. Just like any Parent who wants the best for there Son/s or Daughter/s, if you are a parent, how would you feel if anyone of your children didn't or don't want anything to do with you? Can you see what I mean?"
...how...fucking...stupid. Yeah, I'm gonna walk up to my parents, friends, relatives or anyone close to me and say they're an imagination. Well...maybe if I was a solipsist, but, seeing that I'm not, how fucking stupid. Let's see...hmm...I can actually walk up to these people, talk to them and they will talk back to me, hug them and they hug me back, ask them for something and they may be able to provide me with it. And honestly, if someone walked up to me and said that, I would laugh like crazy, and then walk off saying "see you later".

10 Items to consider Pt. 9
Live the Lord's Standard of Worthiness - The Lord has one standard of worthiness (a temple recommend). When we honor that standard, blessings and doors of opportunity will remain open throughout our lives. the Lord's standard will not change.

Now, if this "standard of worthiness" is the temple recommend, then NO ONE who has one is properly worthy by their standards.
This is from a blog on lds-mormon.org written in 2000 that bishops ask the members to gauge their worthiness:
"The First Presidency issued some new questions last Spring. It's so hard to keep up with knowing what God wants us to know in order to attend his temple. Here they are. I should know since I have been through them approx 100 times this past year:
1 Do you have faith in and a testimony of God the Eternal Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost?
2 Do you have a testimony of the Atonement of Christ and of His role as Savior and Redeemer?
3 Do you have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel in these the latter days?
4 Do you sustain the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator and as the only person on the earth who possesses and is authorized to exercise all priesthood keys? Do you sustain members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators? Do you sustain the other General Authorities and local authorities of the Church?
5 Do you live the law of chastity?
6 Is there anything in your conduct relating to members of your family that is not in harmony with the teachings of the Church?

So, it's obvious that these "standards" (IF you want to call such base examples of medieval thinking standards) are designed to only promote the hate that all christians exude. In particular number 7...if I had a gay friend and thought he was ok, now I'm no longer eligible for the temple because it's not right because of bunch of shepherds wanted to hide they had hard-ons for the boys who helped them tend sheep back in the 1200's? Yeah, I call that total unadulterated BULLSHIT!
Also, number 14 seems more like it's trying to be more of an invasion of privacy then deciding if someone is worthy enough for god. Personally, what I do in the bathroom or bedroom is NONE of their damn business...just like how I sure as hell don't want to know what some old fat as hell pompous man is doing either *shudders at the thought*
Blessings and opportunities...sure...sure...what sort of blessings would those be...being told to "fuck off" by god?
Case in point, I was let go from my job on March 26th because the company wasn't getting enough clients so they did a reduction in force (something I saw coming for about 2 weeks). Unfortunately I was cut, but fortunately I'm eligible for unemployment insurance payments. Well, the downside was that on March 16th the hearing in my right ear was maybe 20% of what should be normal. At that time I made an appointment with an ENT to have it looked at. Before I did that, I made an appointment with my PCP on March 26th who said it was infected. I kept my appointment with the ENT (just to be safe) for April 6th and at that one he said it was pretty badly infected (and quite surprised that it didn't hurt as bad as it looked) and prescribed me some antibiotics to kill what was in there.
Well in talking to my friend (who has been mentioned on this blog numerous times), he right out says "Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that you were let go so you had time to rest and get better from what's in my ear." =_= How in the FUCK is losing one's job a blessing in any sense of the word? I saw it as a VERRRRRRY bad thing cause my normal insurance was termed on March 31st and COBRA starting on April 1st. COBRA (for those that have never dealt with it), is SUPER expensive as you now have to pay for the coverage yourself entirely.
I just looked at him all O_o and wanted to just slap him, because that is NO blessing....as far as an opportunity...I guess just being able to sleep like 7-8 hours every day of the week is the ONLY opportunity that I've had from that.

So, it's obvious that these "standards" (IF you want to call such base examples of medieval thinking standards) are designed to only promote the hate that all christians exude. In particular number 7...if I had a gay friend and thought he was ok, now I'm no longer eligible for the temple because it's not right because of bunch of shepherds wanted to hide they had hard-ons for the boys who helped them tend sheep back in the 1200's? Yeah, I call that total unadulterated BULLSHIT!
Also, number 14 seems more like it's trying to be more of an invasion of privacy then deciding if someone is worthy enough for god. Personally, what I do in the bathroom or bedroom is NONE of their damn business...just like how I sure as hell don't want to know what some old fat as hell pompous man is doing either *shudders at the thought*
Blessings and opportunities...sure...sure...what sort of blessings would those be...being told to "fuck off" by god?
Case in point, I was let go from my job on March 26th because the company wasn't getting enough clients so they did a reduction in force (something I saw coming for about 2 weeks). Unfortunately I was cut, but fortunately I'm eligible for unemployment insurance payments. Well, the downside was that on March 16th the hearing in my right ear was maybe 20% of what should be normal. At that time I made an appointment with an ENT to have it looked at. Before I did that, I made an appointment with my PCP on March 26th who said it was infected. I kept my appointment with the ENT (just to be safe) for April 6th and at that one he said it was pretty badly infected (and quite surprised that it didn't hurt as bad as it looked) and prescribed me some antibiotics to kill what was in there.
Well in talking to my friend (who has been mentioned on this blog numerous times), he right out says "Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that you were let go so you had time to rest and get better from what's in my ear." =_= How in the FUCK is losing one's job a blessing in any sense of the word? I saw it as a VERRRRRRY bad thing cause my normal insurance was termed on March 31st and COBRA starting on April 1st. COBRA (for those that have never dealt with it), is SUPER expensive as you now have to pay for the coverage yourself entirely.
I just looked at him all O_o and wanted to just slap him, because that is NO blessing....as far as an opportunity...I guess just being able to sleep like 7-8 hours every day of the week is the ONLY opportunity that I've had from that.

Understand the Reality of Temptation - Satan's greatest attempt to destroy us today is surrounded by temptations related to immorality. Satan will fail, but there will be casualties. We need to avoid pornography. Bishops can provide help.
Immorality...what a load of bullshit. Besides, why should I believe that a religion which condemns sex but is obsessed with having it as having high moral standards. That makes about as much sense as cutting yourself and jumping into a tank of sharks with the intention or living.
No...not the porno, their heaven forbid that I should see another woman or man naked O_O *gasps* Oh...wait...there's more porn and even child pornography looked at in Utah than most states (don't remember the report but it said something like that). And I'm sorry, but anyone who says they've NEVER looked at porno is full of shit, everyone's looked at least once.
As far as the big bad boogieman Satan goes...how is some fictional character going to corrupt people....though, I guess he's nowhere as bad as either jebus or god. I mean, by a christians standard satan would want people to believe in science, math, archaeology and so forth instead of bowing down to the sky tyrant.
Overall, the only REAL temptation is to actually believe in the tripe that religion feeds the sheeple.

When theists won't stop...
So I recently joined the group De-God Your Money (if it doesn't work, here is the link to copy and paste http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=389916748054&ref=mf or just search for what's highlighted) as it has a very valid point. Within maybe 15 minutes I received a comment on my activity from someone I've known for 20+ years saying "Seriously?" to which I replied "Yeah, why not, it was added illegally to our money".
That seemed the end of it until about 20 minutes later I receive a text from the same person saying "Who have u been talking to to make u think that god isnt real and to de-God everything?" Despite the accusation that someone else affected my thinking I responded simply "I read the bible and that was proof enough".
Almost 30 minutes later I get a string of texts to which I didn't even want to dignify a response:
"That's sad to hear u think that. But ur wrong and being deceived"
"What about the Book of Mormon?"
That first one actually pissed me off. Why? Hmm...to actually accuse me of being wrong and deceived WITHOUT even asking real questions is pretty damn cowardly...sadly, this is standard theist thinking. This is also part of why I didn't dignify a response to it as the only thing I could really say is that he's the one who's being deceived by one book that if someone did ANY of those actions today would be considered a lunatic and be locked up to never see the light of day and the second which was written by a conman who was in trouble with the law for peep-stoning and knowingly took underage wives against their will.
Hmm...just how in the hell am I the one being deceived here.
The other issue here, is that he obviously has issues with himself if he insists on projecting his views on me and insisting that he's right and that I'm wrong...a rather disgusting and unsightly human behavior that god and jebus seem to mimic.
I've known the guy for 20+ years, but, if all he's going to do is be a theist asshole to me when I haven't said a single damn word to him about religion, then I don't need him and I could care less about that. I'd rather have friends that are apathetic to my thoughts and feelings or agree with them, not someone who feels they MUST correct me and make me experience the light of jebus.

Missionary work - An assualt on your soul!!!
Yes, I know it's a scary title, but then again missionaries are scary to begin with.
But, today's topic is being covered cause I've ALWAYS had issues with the concept of missionaries. That, and I'm at work and don't have the letter with me about the 10 things to consider.
We've all seen them. Most commonly walking or riding a bike around in their familiar dark suit, white button down shirt and tie or a dress with dark colors and the nametag with either "Elder" or "Sister" engraved into it. They're always carrying a Book of Mormon and are just looking to share the word of go...Joesph Smith. They're always friendly and eager to talk with anyone who is just happening to walk by...unless you are openly LGBT, at which point they avoid you like the plague cause they'll catch your evil gay germs.
Now, on to the truly scary stuff about missionaries from my perspective.
First off, shortly after I turned 18, and before I truly realized who I am, I got called in to the bishop's office. Now, I was already pretty good at knowing what to say to get in and out as fast as possible. I had been in for temple recommends before and just like everyone else, I lied about certain activities to get the recommend. That is a blog post for a another day for the specifics.
When I went in however, I was rather surprised that this time it was to talk about becoming a missionary. Now, having grown up in the church, of course I was taught that I want to be a missionary when I turn 19. "I want to" now THAT's laughable. That's called brainwashing the chitlins people! So, after sitting down and getting the small talk out of the way. The bishop proceeded to ask me questions pertaining to my thoughts on missionary work and if I was getting myself prepared to go on a mission to spread the word of god, jebus and joe smith. I honestly just wanted to go home so I could just change out of the clothes and sit back watching tv (didn't have a computer at that time). I think we were in there for like 30 minutes talking about this ridiculous notion.
After I left this rather annoying meeting, I didn't think any more of it until the following month when I was called in to the bishop's office AGAIN to discuss the exact same damn thing AGAIN. -_- So I got that out of the way in like 15 minutes this time and went home. However, I soon came to find out that this would be a monthly occurrence (hmm...sounds like a period only aggravating instead of painful). This monthly occurrence would continue until I was 22.
During those 4 years, I was given a LOT of information regarding what I would do while being a missionary. I don't have any of that information anymore, but it basically boiled down to talking to people, telling them that if they weren't LDS, then they were evil (talk about intolerance) and to introduce them to the word of go...joe smith. I took one look at that information and went "O_o WTF...". It was some hardcore intolerance bullshit going on there and I didn't want ANY part of that.
That's pretty much when I started to ignore all the missionary crap from the bishop and the church...cause it was obviously evil. Honestly, anyone who really looks at it should be able to see how it is evil like that. This is just a way to tell people that they are wrong and you are right and because of that you're going to hell.
Now, with a little backstory out of the way.
*opens curtain*
On to the missionary circus!!! da-da-da-da-daaaa!!!! Come see the monkeys in suits, they'll entertain you, they'll tell you stories, but if you challenge their ideas they'll snarl and bare their teeth and tell you you're wrong and going to hell!!!
But, in all seriousness, missionary work is more a disservice to humanity. They run around the planet, forcing their ideals on other people. I personally think this is a more destructive activity than ALL the carbon emissions China puts out in an entire decade. Besides, is god and jebus so lonely that they have to have someone else go around telling their story and ask people to listen...or are they just that vain. Me thinks it's both.
Now, when I see them on the street and they are whizzing by on their bikes, I totally ignore them. However, if they're walking by as I'm getting out of my car (which has happened 3 times now), I'll wait to see what they have to say and then promptly ask them why they came over to speak with me. The answer they all gave is that they were directed by the spirit. Of course, as soon as they say that I start to outright laugh (and anyone who's heard me laugh IRL knows it sounds evil a maniacal) and then look at them and ask if they plan to convert me to their religion. This usually catches them off guard but then they IMMEDIATELY jump into their rhetoric and start quoting this and that.
Talk about annoying, so, if I get sick of hearing them, I put on the gayest sounding voice I can possibly do (think Big Gay Al from South Park), look at them and say I'm looking for a good port to give my semen leave, wanna talk later tonight? followed by a wink and they are running for the hills.
But, seeing that there are now countries that have listed mormons as a cult (Denmark), it's obvious they aren't doing anything positive, if they were, they wouldn't have been labeled a cult. Of course, having secret meetings, secret signs...hmm...I don't know, but that screams cult to me. At least the masons try to make good things and not try and spread religiously condoned hatred.
I almost feel like I'm rambling at this point so I'm going to call it good at this point. But, any thoughts on missionaries and what they do?

More MORmON Stupidity
Ok, this is from the same "friend" that sent me that total bullshit cherrypicked thing on why god loves us (and isn't an asshole like the bible says). So, here it is. Again in red as a warning for what you're about to read:

The world's oldest multiple-page book — in the lost Etruscan language — has gone on display in Bulgaria 's National History Museum in Sofia . And something about that book has particular interest for Latter-day Saints.
As is evident from the photograph, this book was created on metal plates that are bound together with metal rings similar to the original source documents that became the Book of Mormon.
The small manuscript, which is more than two and a half millennia old, was discovered 60 years ago in a tomb uncovered during digging for a canal along the Strouma River in southwestern Bulgaria . It has now been donated to the museum by its finder, on condition of anonymity.
Reports say the unidentified donor is now 87 years old and lives in Macedonia.The authenticity of the book has been confirmed by two experts in Sofia and London , museum director Bojidar Dimitrov said quoted by AFP. The six sheets are believed to be the oldest comprehensive work involving multiple pages, said Elka Penkova, who heads the museum's archaeological department.
There are around 30 similar pages known in the world, Ms Penkova said, "but they are not linked together in a book".
The Etruscans — one of Europe's most mysterious ancient peoples — are believed to have migrated from Lydia, in modern western Turkey, settling in northern and central Italy nearly 3,000 years ago. They were wiped out by the conquering Romans in the fourth century BC, leaving few written records.
The long debated question about bound metal records existing in the Middle East 2500 years ago as claimed by the Book of Mormon can now be put to rest. Critics should take note and check that item off their list of objections to the authenticity of the Book of Mormon.

XD BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, this has to be THE stupidest claim I've seen MORmON's make so far. Automatically assuming that this is supposed to be THE book of mormon...right, sure, and I'm the pope.
First, as it CLEARLY states at the beginning "The world's oldest multiple-page book — in the lost Etruscan language" Hmm...that's funny how in the hell can this be THE book of mormon if it's in a lost language? Oh, there's the bullshit of the urum and thummim...oh...wait...that was just some damn rocks in a hat. Oddly enough, that's EXACTLY how Joe got his ass in trouble with people back East. Saying that he could locate treasure on their land by putting rocks in a hat and it would guide him to this buried treasure.
...why is it that all religions are started by an outright crook? And then it's followers are so damned blind that they start assuming that stuff like above is proof to the authenticity to an obvious work of fiction.

Recognize Priesthood - Line of Authority - Priesthood authority today can be traced to the Savior through the restoration and Peter, James, and John. The priesthood is God's authority on the earth, given to mankind. We can rely on priesthood authority for help.
Priesthood authority...is that the same authority given to all these old men that are nothing short of pedophiles? Hmm...that's some pretty fucked up authority if that's the case. Is this also the same authority acting after "talking" with god to go and kill entire people including the women, children and cattle? I'm sorry but there's absolutely NO way that I can respect any sort of authority like that.
It's just unbelievable that the MORmON church has the audacity to think that they're above this sort of BS.
On the subject of the whole pedophilia thing: http://www.childpro.org/ldscases.htm Hmm...seems like this is a pretty normal thing with in the church. And it's the priesthood holders who are doing this shit as well. Again...why should I respect their authority?
They're relying on some books that were supposedly written by people who knew Jebus...that include events that happen several years after Jebus died...umm...I can't even take that thought seriously, it really makes me want to literally LOL to the point that I'm either peeing myself or my sides hurt.
Then again, I honestly have a hard time respecting authority of any kind, be it religious or secular (cops and the like). A model citizen should be someone who does question authority and finds a way to better themselves and their community. 10 Items to consider Pt. 6
Find Success in our Home - "No success can compensate for failure in the home". Be a peacemaker. Be respectful. Never use inappropriate language in our homes. Have home-evening, family scriptures, and family prayer. Priesthood holders take the lead.
...soo many things about this that are just plain WRONG...where to start.
Be a peacemaker...now just how in the hell is that possible if Jesus himself said that "Jesus says that he has come to destroy families by making family members hate each other. He has "come not to send peace, but a sword." Matthew 10:34-36 " Well...gee...I guess death does ultimately bring peace...if one looks at it that way.
Be respectful...ok...honestly...if I had the parents of some kids I knew growing up, I couldn't be respectful to them...oh...wait...I wasn't. Any time I saw them and their parents and their parents would yell at them in public (my own father has done this and no, I don't always respect him (explanation in a bit)), I would just stare at them and ask if it was really necessary to do that in public or at all and that they'd be better off showing love than being angry (guess they did read the bible and how nasty it gets).
As far as my father is concerned, even to this day I do things that defy him and don't show respect. Not that it takes much, but I just have to point out that god is an asshole and jebus is his right hand to fap with to what's happening on earth
As far as the language thing...what if I choose to speak in Japanese, obviously it's not appropriate as neither of my parents speak it. Even then, I don't know a single damn person who has never sworn in their life. And anyone who says they haven't is just full of shit and a damned liar.
Home-evening, scriptures and prayer are all utterly retarded and useless. The home evening thing I guess isn't too bad since they say to do something as a family...even something like a movie. Though, reading the scriptures...if they really did read them, they wouldn't be Christards to begin with. As for the prayer thing, I actually ran across a Youtube video that perfectly explains this totally useless practice:

As that clearly illustrates, prayer is totally useless and accomplishes nothing. Besides, how arrogant do you have to be to believe that god has a plan and that your pitiful little prayer can be enough to make him change his all knowing abilities....well...I guess they've got a great role model to get that from if you believe in the bible.
Now the last part...priesthood holders take lead...I interpret this as having one meaning "Women are below men as only men can hold the priesthood" Then again, the MORmON church is EXTREMELY sexist in the way it operates. considering at one point it said that a woman's place is at home tending to the kids, mending clothing and preparing food. That was in like the 60's (yes it's changed somewhat, but not a lot). Though, that's more the thinking from like the 1760's. It's horrible and it needs to disappear just like the dodo did. Be a peacemaker...now just how in the hell is that possible if Jesus himself said that "Jesus says that he has come to destroy families by making family members hate each other. He has "come not to send peace, but a sword." Matthew 10:34-36 " Well...gee...I guess death does ultimately bring peace...if one looks at it that way.
Be respectful...ok...honestly...if I had the parents of some kids I knew growing up, I couldn't be respectful to them...oh...wait...I wasn't. Any time I saw them and their parents and their parents would yell at them in public (my own father has done this and no, I don't always respect him (explanation in a bit)), I would just stare at them and ask if it was really necessary to do that in public or at all and that they'd be better off showing love than being angry (guess they did read the bible and how nasty it gets).
As far as my father is concerned, even to this day I do things that defy him and don't show respect. Not that it takes much, but I just have to point out that god is an asshole and jebus is his right hand to fap with to what's happening on earth

Some great religion stupidity
So, I was checking my email and got a letter from a friend who I've known for over 20 years now and has recently gone all super retarded Mormon on me (something that's starting to bug the fucking hell out of me). Here's another example of this stupidity (the following is the exact email I was sent and in read as a warning as extreme religutardness and the stuff in italics is what they directed at me):
I thought about your txt message last month. You said or asked if some one could prove to you that God is all loving as it is said in the Bible? I came across a talk by Elder Dallin H. Oaks that should answer that very question.
I hope this helps. But you need to read the whole talk. You'll see why.
The love of God does not supersede His laws and His commandments, and the effect of God’s laws and commandments does not diminish the purpose and effect of His love.
I have been impressed to speak about God’s love and God’s commandments. My message is that God’s universal and perfect love is shown in all the blessings of His gospel plan, including the fact that His choicest blessings are reserved for those who obey His laws.1 These are eternal principles that should guide parents in their love and teaching of their children.
The next two examples show mortal confusion about the effect of God’s love.
There is no greater evidence of the infinite power and perfection of God’s love than is declared by the Apostle John: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son” (John 3:16). Another Apostle wrote that God “spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all” (Romans 8:32). Think how it must have grieved our Heavenly Father to send His Son to endure incomprehensible suffering for our sins. That is the greatest evidence of His love for each of us!
God’s love for His children is an eternal reality, but why does He love us so much, and why do we desire that love? The answer is found in the relationship between God’s love and His laws.
Some seem to value God’s love because of their hope that His love is so great and so unconditional that it will mercifully excuse them from obeying His laws. In contrast, those who understand God’s plan for His children know that God’s laws are invariable, which is another great evidence of His love for His children. Mercy cannot rob justice,2 and those who obtain mercy are “they who have kept the covenant and observed the commandment” (D&C 54:6).
We read again and again in the Bible and in modern scriptures of God’s anger with the wicked3 and of His acting in His wrath4 against those who violate His laws. How are anger and wrath evidence of His love? Joseph Smith taught that God “institute[d] laws whereby [the spirits that He would send into the world] could have a privilege to advance like himself.”5 God’s love is so perfect that He lovingly requires us to obey His commandments because He knows that only through obedience to His laws can we become perfect, as He is. For this reason, God’s anger and His wrath are not a contradiction of His love but an evidence of His love. Every parent knows that you can love a child totally and completely while still being creatively angry and disappointed at that child’s self-defeating behavior.
The love of God is so universal that His perfect plan bestows many gifts on all of His children, even those who disobey His laws. Mortality is one such gift, bestowed on all who qualified in the War in Heaven.6 Another unconditional gift is the universal resurrection: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). Many other mortal gifts are not tied to our personal obedience to law. As Jesus taught, our Heavenly Father “maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45).
If only we will listen, we can know of God’s love and feel it, even when we are disobedient. A woman recently returned to Church activity gave this description in a sacrament meeting talk: “He has always been there for me, even when I rejected Him. He has always guided me and comforted me with His tender mercies all around me, but I [was] too angry to see and accept incidents and feelings as such.”7
“There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated—
“And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated” (D&C 130:20–21).
This great principle helps us understand the why of many things, like justice and mercy balanced by the Atonement. It also explains why God will not forestall the exercise of agency by His children. Agency—our power to choose—is fundamental to the gospel plan that brings us to earth. God does not intervene to forestall the consequences of some persons’ choices in order to protect the well-being of other persons—even when they kill, injure, or oppress one another—for this would destroy His plan for our eternal progress.8 He will bless us to endure the consequences of others’ choices, but He will not prevent those choices.9
If a person understands the teachings of Jesus, he or she cannot reasonably conclude that our loving Heavenly Father or His divine Son believes that Their love supersedes Their commandments. Consider these examples.
When Jesus began His ministry, His first message was repentance.10
When He exercised loving mercy by not condemning the woman taken in adultery, He nevertheless told her, “Go, and sin no more” (John 8:11).
Jesus taught, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
The effect of God’s commandments and laws is not changed to accommodate popular behavior or desires. If anyone thinks that godly or parental love for an individual grants the loved one license to disobey the law, he or she does not understand either love or law. The Lord declared: “That which breaketh a law, and abideth not by law, but seeketh to become a law unto itself, and willeth to abide in sin, and altogether abideth in sin, cannot be sanctified by law, neither by mercy, justice, nor judgment. Therefore, they must remain filthy still” (D&C 88:35).
We read in modern revelation, “All kingdoms have a law given” (D&C 88:36). For example:
“He who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory.
“And he who cannot abide the law of a terrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrial glory.
“And he who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory” (D&C 88:22–24).
In other words, the kingdom of glory to which the Final Judgment assigns us is not determined by love but by the law that God has invoked in His plan to qualify us for eternal life, “the greatest of all the gifts of God” (D&C 14:7).
I hope this was useful. Another thing, something a lot of others have a hard time with. Getting on your knees and asking for your self to God Him self if He is real. You will know within your heart if it is true or not. You are my best friend. I want to end with my own personal testimony. I have knelt down and felt God and his love for me. Honestly...this whole "talk" reeks of nothing but mindless belief in something that obviously hasn't been read. How do I know? Well...ANYONE who has actually sat down and read the bible would know that Jesus didn't come to bring peace but came with a sword and the intent to disrupt families and tear them apart. Ultimately what this is, is someone outright cherry picking the bible and only focusing on the feel good crap that goes on, not the whole thing.
